Our Committee are here to support the club and help with any queries so please feel free to stop and chat to them about any issues or ideas you may have to help our club grow.
Membership 2025
Our membership year starts each January. It is £24 for the first year to join up and this includes your membership card and entry fob. New Member Application Forms can be picked up from the bar. Each new member requires a Proposer and a Seconder, who must have been members for at least a year at the time of signing the membership application.
Zero Drugs Policy
The Newtown is a welcoming, family friendly venue. Any suspected drug use is strictly against the membership rule and will result in the member or guest being asked to leave the premises and be subject to disciplinary action by Committee.
Zero tolerance of abuse
On occasions our staff have been subject to swearing, threats and violence. This will not be tolerated, is against the membership rules and will result in the member or guest being asked to leave the premises and be subject to disciplinary action by Committee.
Membership Rules
RULES TO FOLLOW
Upon becoming a member of The Newtown, you agree to follow the rules of the Club. These rules help keep everyone safe and set expectations for the standard of behavior that keeps The Newtown a relaxed, enjoyable place to be.
Dogs are not permitted inside the club but are welcome in the garden. To bring your dog into the garden please buzz the main door and ask a member of staff to open the side gate.
Vests are not permitted in The Newtown
Members may sign in up to 2 guests each visit and must then ensure their guests follow the rules. Guests may only remain for the duration of the members visit and must leave when the member leaves. The same guest may only be signed in for a maximum of 2 times per calendar month.
Inter-Affiliation members are welcome and will be expected to sign the relevant signing in register on arrival.
Renewals
Each January all members are required to complete a Membership Renewal Form and pay a renewal fee of £15. Forms can be picked up from the bar from January.
